Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at ALHOSN University, a diverse and vibrant community dedicated to making knowledge matter, and to developing all of its members to their utmost potential.
I encourage you to find out more about the Faculty and its numerous strengths, including outstanding faculty members, staff, and students, strong partnerships with schools and communities that provide an engaged environment where students think of their work occurring not just within the walls of their academic buildings, but also outside, in their local, national and global communities.
The Faculty, home of seven (7) departments, is committed to offering quality programs that prepare our graduates to meet national and international standards. As a result, all the 11 programs in the faculty are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) in the UAE and in addition three of them (Software, Industrial and Civil) have recently been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) from the USA. We breed and position our students for life-long success for careers in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Interior Design, Urban Planning, Buildings Engineering and Engineering Management, and the related.
Approximately 750 students enroll in our programs each semester and are taught, challenged, and mentored by approximately 30 full-time highly-qualified faculty members who excel in their areas of expertise. Our support staff is very dedicated and professional. Our students have tremendous opportunities to be involved in extra-curricular activities through different student clubs, provide service to community, participate to faculty research, take internships in local and international companies, and attend career counseling, career fairs and workshops …
I invite you to explore this site and learn about the exceptional work occurring in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences; study but also career and partnership opportunities. We are always happy to share information about our programs, and we invite you to visit us at any time, and if needed we would be delighted to offer you a tour of our facilities, labs and studios; arrange for you to meet with faculty, and/or shadow a student.
