The Faculty of Business, established with the inception of ALHOSN University in August 2005, is one of the core academic units of the University. The main objective of the Faculty is to train students in management and business-related education with a global perspective. The Faculty strives to be acknowledged as the leader in undergraduate and graduate business education in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and United Arab Emirates in particular and the Gulf Region in general and among recognized peer institutions. The Faculty has a responsibility to its stakeholders, which include students, alumni, ALHOSN University and its owner, and the citizens and institutions of Abu Dhabi. Faculty members fulfill their responsibilities to stakeholders through teaching, research, professional service, and professional development activities. Quality performance in these endeavors is critical in advancing the discipline and building the academic reputation of the Faculty and the University.
The Faculty of Business has three departments: Business Administration, Accounting and Management Information Systems. The Department of Business Administration offers five undergraduate degree programs, namely Business Administration specializing in International Business, BBA (International Business), Business Administration specializing in International Economics, BBA (International Economics), Business Administration in Human Resources Management (BBA-HRM), Business Administration in Marketing (BBA - Marketing) and Business Administration in Finance (BBA - Finance). The Accounting department offers Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (BBA - Accounting). The MIS Department offers Bachelor of Management in Information Systems program. While through the Graduate School, the Faculty of Business also offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) that caters to students, holding any undergraduate degree, who aspire to senior managerial positions in both public and private organizations.
