ALHOSN University has been ranked 2nd
in the student Inter-Faculty Challenge (IFC) Cup qualifier held recently at the United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain’s Female Campus. UAE University topped the rankings, while Abu Dhabi University was placed third.
This year’s IFC competition was organized by the Students Activities & Leadership Department at UAE University. The 9 participating universities are UAE University, Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology, University of Sharjah, American University of Sharjah, ALHOSN University, College of Islamic and Arabic Studies in Dubai, Ajman University of Science and Technology, and Abu Dhabi University.
Prof. Hassan Mustafa, Dean of ALHOSN University’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, said that such educational competitions help strengthen communications between universities and colleges. He added that such events encourage cultural exchange, friendly competition and knowledge development among students.
Dr. Mohammed Saeed Hasab El Nabi, Chair of ALHOSN’s Department of Education and Supervisor of the female students participating in the contest, explained that the university’s cultural and student events emphasize the institution’s educational role and focus on key areas such as scientific research. He said that ALHOSN’s participation in the competition facilitates cultural exchange between female students and develops their competitive skills and expertise in various fields of science and knowledge. He added that his department conducted an educational camp for participating female students in preparation for the competition, with everyone exerting exceptional effort during the days leading up to the qualifier. He concluded that the results were highly satisfactory and extended his thanks and appreciation to the organizers.
