The Architectural Engineering Department has organized two field trips for the Fall 2016 Semester.

Students experienced first-hand the design and structural system requirements for exhibition halls and their supporting services. They also availed of the Earth sustainability movie show at the planetarium. The students commented that such visits provide hands-on understanding of architectural design problems and will help them in designing their studio project: sustainability and technology museum.
WETEX 2016 - Trip Report

The Study Trip to WETEX Exhibition 2016 at World Trade Centre in Dubai has involved about 40 students of different Departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, two Faculty members and one Staff member. Students were introduced to passive and active technologies aimed at devising effective solutions for sustainable buildings. They also examined the commercially available green building materials and systems and methods of integrating such new materials in building engineering, an area that has gained increased attention in all scientific and professional fields.
