On Wednesday, April 25th
, Provost Prof. Raymond Tennant inaugurated the lecture series “Engineering and Applied Sciences Forum.” The event was co-sponsored and hosted by the American Corner. The lecture consisted of a presentation of a “New campus for ALHOSN University” by Mohammad Ammar Darwich, a former capstone student, followed by a discussion of the project by Architect Kourosh Salehi, Senior Designer at Atkins.
The discussion was moderated by Dr. Naima Benkari, Assistant Professor of Architecture and supervisor of the project. “The project of Mohammad Ammar has been lauded as outstanding by the panel of professionals who examined it. Giving it a chance to be presented to a larger public, including future graduates, was a way to help them understand that they can also do it. Being excellent is just a matter of decision and committement to this decision,” said Dr. Naima Benkari. The Engineering and Applied Sciences Forum is a bi-weekly lectures series presented by the Faculty of Engineeering and Applied Sciences and open to the general public.
