15/01/2013

Amidst a festive environment, the Department of Education recently held the 5th exhibition of projects developed by its practical training students. All projects were undertaken during the current semester throughout several schools in Abu Dhabi.

The exhibition was kicked off by Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO of ALHOSN University, in the presence of Prof. Raymond Tenant, the University Provost, and Prof. Dr. Hassan Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Attendees included projects’ supervisors: Dr. Mohammed Saeed Hasab El Nabi, Chair of the Education Department; Dr. Teirab AshShareef; Dr. Saleh Al Nusairat; Dr. Basem Younis Al Bdeirat; and Dr. Hassan Al Samarrai, who recently joined the faculty at the Department of Education.

A number of school principals, their deputies, and teachers from the Al Yasat, Al Nahda and Al Yasameen schools and other educational and cultural institutions were present at the exhibition. Likewise, several faculty members and staff attended the exhibition along with university students and their parents.

Underscoring the importance of the event, Prof. Sabouni expressed pride in the creativity displayed by students’ projects and the harmony created between theoretical and practical concepts. He added that the positive feedback from schools hosting practical trainees from ALHOSN University reflects the exceptional efforts exerted by the Department of Education to prepare their wards for the real world and groom them as productive additions to the field of education.

At the exhibition’s conclusion, certificates of appreciation were handed out to Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, for his untiring support to university students and the Department of Education; and to Prof. Hassan Mustafa for his sponsorship of the Department’s academic and extracurricular activities.
