Recruitment professionals report that as much as 60 per cent of UAE employers will be seeking recruits through the first half of 2013
. ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, will be joining the 5th
Al Ain Education & Career Fair to capitalize on the employment and networking opportunities being opened up by the positive local and regional job market outlook.
ALHOSN is a regular supporter and participant of the fair, which will run from April 22 to 24, 2013 in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. University representatives will discuss the growing demand for applicants with skill sets relevant to management, engineering, marketing, and education. They will also explain how the university’s philosophy of ‘global knowledge with local vision’ can help students achieve productive careers while making valuable contributions to their respective communities. The university will offer career opportunities within the organization itself as well.
Having previously been declared as ‘The Year of Emiratisation,’ 2013 is expected to bring particularly abundant employment opportunities for Emirati applicants. While employers prioritize factors such as skill and experience, many UAE firms are also on the lookout for fresh Emirati graduates with strong potential and excellent motivation. ALHOSN will thus discuss how its programs can help UAE nationals with their career goals and mold them into future government and industry leaders.
“The Middle East’s employment sector is undergoing a buoyant phase that should be capitalized on by government, educational institutions, companies and jobseekers. The Al Ain Education & Career Fair is an ideal forum for matching the best local talents with the best opportunities out there amidst a market that is primed for strong and sustained growth. It is also a sound platform for strengthening employer linkages and forming new ones. For ALHOSN, the fair serves as a venue for us to showcase how the combination of world-class programs and a focus on supporting local development offers a unique path for both personal and professional growth, especially for UAE Nationals who want to actively participate in the shaping of their nation,” said Prof. Raymond Tennant, Provost and Acting Vice Chancellor, ALHOSN University.
Last year, ALHOSN University became the first private university in Abu Dhabi to receive accreditation from the US-based Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) for its BSc degree program in Civil Engineering. It was also the first time that any university in the UAE has received ABET accreditation for its BSc programs in Industrial and Software Engineering.
Among UAE’s top companies, agencies and educational institutions participating in the 2013 Al Ain Education & Career Fair are Dolphin Energy, Etihad Airways, Etihad Rail, The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Bayt.com and The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre.
