The Education Department recently held its 4th
Annual Teaching Practice Exhibition featuring teaching practice graduation projects done by female students over the Spring semester through field training schools.
The exhibition was kicked off by H.E. Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO of ALHOSN University, who emphasized the importance of the event, to which ALHOSN University looks forward every semester. Prof. Sabouni explained that this reflects the application of the theoretical knowledge gained by the students and how it blends with the practical aspects of schooling. Prof. Sabouni also wished the Department of Education and all sections of the university continued success and prosperity.
The event was attended by Prof. Raymond Tennant, Provost; Prof. Mohamed Sobaih, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science; and the Education Department’s faculty and Teaching Practice Supervisors: Dr. Mohamed Saeed Hasab El Naby, Department Chair; Dr. Saleh Al Nusairat, Acting Dean; Dr. Teirab AshShareef; and Dr. Basem Younes Al Bdairat.
Also in attendance were Dr. Mohamed Al Amine, Dr. Maryam Al Ali from Abu Dhabi Education Council, Dr. Lilly Tennant, and Dr. Sumaya Saqr from Emirates College for Educational Development. Also present were school inspectors and teachers from Al Nahda National School, Al Ittihad, Palestine, and other schools involved in the training of ALHOSN student teachers. A large number of ALHOSN faculty, staff, students and their families visited the exhibition.
The Education Department presented a certificate of appreciation to H.E. Prof. Sabouni at the close of the exhibition in recognition for his continuous support for the Department and its activities. For their laudable efforts during the training period, certificates of appreciation were also awarded to faculty who supervised the Teaching Practice, namely, Mr. Rami Abdul Rahim Sabouni who is completing his PhD studies Canada, Mr. Murad Al Rajab, Ms. Haifa Kattan, and Mr. Mohammed Nidal from the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department.
